Self regulation is the ability to control behavioural and emotional responses. It's having the skill to calm yourself when you get upset, to adjust to change, and to handle frustration without outbursts.
Teaching self-regulation takes practice and patience. You can support your kids' self regulation skills on a daily basis using Fresh Air.
